The Centaur Theatre is home to some of the most brilliant productions for the world to experience. And they always start the new year particularly well for all of us with their annual Wildside Festival – a 2-week showcasing of some of the greatest independent works from both within and beyond the province. You can expect comfortable seating, friendly staff and captivating performances as part of an overall experience that is certain to uplift your spirits and remind you of the wonders of being human.

Igloofest Winter Festival 2020

  • Weekend 4: Feb. 7 – Feb. 8, 2020

Having debuted in 2007, Igloofest has become increasingly more and more popular as a nightlife winter festival that draws in people from all over the world to experience. For 4 weekends, the Jacques-Cartier Pier transforms into a night filled with bright colors, live electronic music performances and tons of people rocking outdoors in their winter gear. Organized by the same people who bring us Piknic Electronik every summer, the event rallies up an impressive line up of both local and world-class musical talent. And for the first time this year, a new program called OFF IGLOO is being held during the daytime on Saturday Jan. 26 as a more family-friendly engagement that’s free for everyone to attend.

While Igloofest is more of a nighttime engagement for a more mature crowd, The Fête des neiges is more of a daytime activity made for families and the public at large. Lots of cool shows, outdoor fun and activities to really take advantage of the season snow. All of this takes place in Parc Jean Drapeau, which is known for its relaxing walking trails and stunning views of the city.

Nuit Blanche 2020

4. Nuit blanche 2020

  • Feb. 29, 2020

Every year on the last day of February, the city stays awake – completely awake. Instead of retiring for the evening, the city landscape fashions itself for a nightly adventure featuring over 200 activities to experience beyond dusk. And to assist you in the adventure, all the metros remain open for the entire night so you can glide across the city seamlessly.
